mymetalphantom: (Yes Minister...Sir Humphrey is really)

A joke I just saw on t'internet:

What's the difference between the PG Tips monkeys & a British tennis player?

Some people can remember the PG Tips monkeys holding a cup.

Joke might be lost on some, but I thought it was rather witty.

I love tennis though, it was the only game I was ever any good at. Hmm, might take up tennis again. Not professionally obviously, that idea would be ludicrous.

I kinda like Murray as well. I think he may come good eventually. English people hate him because he kinda hates the English. I am amused that the English are made to look like they're the ones in the wrong in that scenario. One thing everyone should know about the English; they once tried to colonise the world, therefore they are always wrong about everything and always will be. The world amuses me sometimes.

Oh well, I'm not fully English so I suppose technically only half of me cares. The other half thinks "grr, colonial scum!" Can you see where I get confused or conflicted?

I'm blithering. I do that well.

God, I'm bored.

Indeed. As Jim Hacker MP in Yes, Minister. I loved him as Jerry too! I actually used to have quite a crush on Jerry when I was younger.

I discovered him via The Good Life and I have a huge "thing" for Jerry. A friend gave me disc 2 and 3 of Yes Minister but I was afraid to watch them out of order. Do you think it would make any difference?

(I would have used one of my Jerry icons but I'm afraid Kevin Whately has taken over all my icons at the moment. LOL)

No, I shouldn't think it matters that much. I didn't watch them in order originally. I suppose the first one does introduce them all but, like I said, I didn't see them in order and I became a huge fan.

I love The Good Life. I used to fancy Jerry and my friend used to fancy Tom. Happy days! ;)

Lol.

I fancy Jerry something fierce and I really love the little bit of UST going on between him and Barbara. LOL

Yes! UST is always a good thing! Gosh, I feel all my old Jerry-lust coming back. Doesn't take much to encourage me, does it? lol

I just realised I don't have the last series of this. That is something that needs to be taken care of and soon. LOL

Also, icon love!

OMG another Foyle fan? I just love Michael Kitchen. He's so dreamy. And Foyle and Sam are the best. I love that series.

I love Michael Kitchen so much. Have you ever seen him in Reckless? That's what made me fall for him.

I ship Foyle/Sam very hard. I don't know if you read fanfic but there was really great stuff for those two out there. I miss that fandom.

No, I've never seen that. Actually I've not seen very much of his stuff, but I occassionally catch something on the TV. I think he's an astonishing actor as well as being easy on the eye lol

I love Foyle/Sam. I can't imagine why she would want anyone else...or why he would want anyone else for that matter. They're brilliant!

I read and write fanfic and am a little bit addicted to it in fact. I've read some Foyle/Sam fanfic and have often wanted to dabble myself but I've never quite got round to it.

I miss it too!

I love fanfic also. I read and write just never seem to finish any. I think I read more fics than novels.

I hope the series continuing after the war is still going to happen. That would be great and any reason to have Michael Kitchen on telly is a good one. IMO ;-)
