Yeah, they're in no way classics. Fun though in a "lets see how much shit we can blow up" sort of way. Anywho, yes, tonight I saw Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

So yes, it was delightfully creepy and just downright wrong in some places. A marked change from the early days when they were ludicrously light and fluffy and so saccharine that they should have come with warnings for those diabetics amongst us.

No, this was creepy in many ways. When Dumbledore told Harry that Slughorn liked to "collect" people, I got some major skeevy vibes from that, which probably tells you more about the state of my mind than anything else. Mind you, I'm not complaining, I rather like a bit of skeevy now and then.

An exciting film all in all, with a lot more humour in it than the books. The books in my opinion became surprisingly humourless the further they went on. Silly that. Even in the most depressing of circumstances there is humour. The human race needs it to survive. I enjoyed the original formula of horror, despair, hope and humour.

One major criticism though; they didn't explain why Snape was the Half-Blood Prince. They did the scene where he revealed he was but I think if I hadn't read the book I would be at a loss to see why it was damn important and why he would call himself such a crazy thing. I think they're just assuming that everyone has read the books. Very short sighted.

Snape still totally rocks my world. I thought his hair looked a bit too good in this film though.

Not many other complaints really, although it helped that I wasn't a massive fan of the book.

Bit scary for younger kiddies. Not my problem though.

In other news I've eaten too many Haribo sweets and now I'm twitching like a junkie. This would be why I steer clear of sweets.
