Gay Pride

Just got back home after being out since yesterday afternoon. It has been a very sunny weekend! We all had a few drinks then trotted off into Birmingham city centre for Gay Pride, which was so much fun! We drank and there were fairground rides and there was food and people being generally colourful and loud. Brilliant evening! Very good atmosphere, everyone was clearly just out for a good time.

Wouldn't wanna be the person cleaning Hurst Street after we'd all been there though.

On a negative note I really wanted a pink union flag but I forgot to get one before we left. Boo!

On a more positive note, I went out and got fairly inebriated and didn't feel like death this morning! Hooray!

I'm going to enjoy more of the sunshine now.

i'm glad we're not the only ones being abused by the sun right now, though with the air conditioning and multiple fans i've learned to love it~

a gay pride festival, huh?! i'm surprised i haven't been to one yet, they must be so much fun. i want one of the flags! i found a bunch on ebay, this may be necessary for me. *nerdnerdnerd*

now go, go be free and enjoy the sunshine. wear lots of sunscreen, too (i got a mild sunburn the first day i was out).

Yeah, but this is Britain. We have two nice days then a thunderstorm and then every day is back to being overcast. We've learned to enjoy the sun when we can. If I didn't go abroad I could probably use the same bottle of suncream for years.

Gay Pride is a big part of the Birmingham social calendar. It's so much fun! The drinks are a bit expensive though...not that it really deters anyone from drinking, lol. Note to self: don't drink too much then go on fairground rides. It's a bad combination.

I'm so pissed off that I didn't get one of those flags! Oh well, I'll get one next time.
