mymetalphantom: (Holmes/Lestrade...my attempt at not)

I've had the same headache now since Sunday. Oww.

Anywho, enough of that.

Last night I was watching The Apprentice and the narrator said something like "Sir Alan tells the team to meet him in Chiswick"

To which I, completely without thinking, replied, "Chiswick?" in my very best Granada!Lestrade impression. Then realised with horror what I had done, and that I had in fact revealed to normal people the full extent of my nerdiness.

Luckily it was so nerdy that the "normal" people didn't get it and just thought I was being random. Phew.

In other news, I got annoyed at the BAFTAs and then got a bit excited over them. X Factor won which was a travesty but then David Mitchell won and so did The IT Crowd so that was all good. I know I'm late commenting on that but I was really not in the mood over the weekend.

also I totally wanna ship John Sessions and Kenneth Branagh now!

I am also trying to control my wrath over the BBC's remake of Reggie Perrin. I don't like it when people mess around with my favourite programmes on the specious pretext of "updating". Just fuck off with your updating, okay?

I offer this in the hopes that it makes you feel less nerdy (or at least I offer nerdly camaraderie) One of my myriad things-I-do-to-occupy-my-mind-at-work is to figure out what my "emotion triggers" would be if I were an actor... and the very thought of Lestrade saying "Chiswick?" makes me burst out giggling. Without fail.

Ha ha! Yeah it always makes me laugh as well! That and "what have you been doing all this time?" from NORW.

Definitely feeling the camaraderie, thank you!

What alarmed me the most was that I said it without even missing a beat. Like a geeky involuntary reaction, like...a nerdy tourettes.

I'm taking it as a sign that I should engage in some activities of a less fangirly nature.
