Yeah, I said at the beginning that the message doesn't really apply to my f'list, because you all seem to get the point of adaptations, so this was a little bit like preaching to the choir but still *shrugs* It's fun to sound off occasionally :)
And it's not so much that I'm ashamed of the Lestrade love, merely that I something wonder how legitimate it is. Unfortunately my reading of canon and my viewing of Granada happened so close together that I will never know how my feelings would have developed without Granada's input.
