Yeah, I keep telling myself I should do some work, especially since I spent all of yesterday writing fanfiction. That was fun but it will not get me a good degree. Yet, I am incapable of working on Sundays.

I did some reading. The chick-lit author Mike Gayle once told me to never read a good book. It might be fun to read but as writer it is only going to make you feel small and inferior. You are never going to be as good as your favourite author. Conversely if you read bad lit then you will realise that actually, you're not so bad. I almost never follow this advice. I could never truly give up good books.

Other than that, I made a Sherlock Holmes picture, thingy. I make these occasionally and I put them in them in my slideshow folder and use them as a screensaver. I rather like this one, there's something a bit...creepy about it, I don't know *shrug*

Behind the curtain...ha ha...sorry, not funny. )

So yeah, no work of any kind has occured today. I am rubbish sometimes.

Caught up with QI which I missed. Anybody not interested in QI should probably skip this as it's just a big squee.

QI was quite brilliant, mainly because it was all about films OMG! That's like, my specialist subject!

John Sessions - Johnny, oh Johnny, my pretty little know-it-all. That would really get on my nerves if I didn't LOVE YOU SO VERY MUCH! His Alan Rickman impersonation was brilliant and I love the fact that he chuckles at exactly the same lines in Die Hard as I do. Die Hard is such a silly, wonderful film.

I got all the British bad guys round right. There was a question about Peter Cushing OMG! I was shouting, "it's Grand Moff Tarkin!" at the screen. Did they listen? David Mitchell got it right. I love David Mitchell.

I love the fact that they pointed out that all British actors play the bad guys and then John said (rather dismissively), "either that or we're gay." OH, the irony!

Emma Thompson! She should be on all the time. She was quite fabulous. I love her as well.

There were other good bits, but that's all I can be bothered to talk about.

*feeling fangirly*
