Ah, dear Birmingham
Feb. 6th, 2009 02:52 pmWent into town today because if I had stayed in another day I may have committed suicide. I went to replace my copy of Charlie Chaplin's City Lights which got all scratched and jumpy. It cost practically nothing...which was nice.
There was no snow in town! Yet where I live it's everywhere, causing trouble.
Anyway, in town I saw this man who was the spitting image of David Mitchell. I admit, I did stare...in fact I think I scared him. Still though, if you like someone even remotely famous you should expect to be stared at.
And the sports reporter on BBC news compared the football matches on Wednesday to Waiting for Godot, saying that instead of Godot they were waiting for goals. Then they said something like "and like the play there were interactions that led nowhere and you never did get to see Godot." Ha ha ha ha ha ha. What an educated sports reporter! I love the Beeb so much sometimes, I think everyone should stop picking on it.
